What is QFD?
Quality Function Deployment (QFD) originates from Japan. It is a practical and effective method for doing product/service improvement and development. Firmly adhered to customer orientation, QFD systematically deploys customer needs into functions to develop the product/service. The concept is simple and the technique is easy.
With more than 40 years of research and development, QFD has been widely applied in both manufacturing and servicing industries around the world, including automotive, electronic, communication, airline, building, medical, health, hotel, insurance, banking and education. For clothing industry, QFD has been primarily used to develop function garments, such as wetsuit and surgery gown. Many international companies, such as Toyota, Nissan, General Motor, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Philips, Ikea and Muji, frequently employ QFD in their quality improvement projects.

The seminars will introduce QFD and its applications in Hong Kong enterprises to implement total quality management.
