Quality function deployment (QFD) is a product development methodology originated in Japan with a history of more than 40 years. In view of its success in the manufacturing industry, QFD has quickly spread to the servicing industry in the 1980s. 如今, the important sectors of the servicing industry, such as banking, insurance, logistics, tourism, hotel and medical, have widely applied QFD for doing service improvement and new service development.
