Transportation Manager

Regional Transportation Control Center is the center for the maintenance/escalation point for system master data, resolution of escalated internal stakeholder and/or carrier and/or freight payment supplier issues, drive carriers, freight payment supplier and internal stakeholders for compliance to the policies and procedures including education to the site operations, internal stakeholders and external suppliers, drive efficiency through process improvements. Provide data analysis when needed.

Responsibilities:

Responsible to manage projects to ensure transportation operations are run with enhanced processes and optimized cost in Asia and in line with company policies and procedures. Drive carriers and internal stakeholders for KPI improvement, compliance to company policies and procedures, transportation operations efficiency through process improvements. Be the Asia center for transportation best practices building knowledge from the logistics industry and counterparts in other regional or local operations. Play an important role in regional transportation sourcing strategy and continuous improvement of transportation policies and procedures. Provide data analysis when needed. Responsible for the initiation and execution of transportation optimization or improvement projects in Asia within Global Logistics through data analysis and program/project management methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business or Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • At least 5 years operations experience in Logistics or Transportation or Supply Chain
  • Experience in project management and process improvement
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Strong negotiations and influencing skills
  • Good analytical skill and problem solving
  • Knowledge of the logistics operations and transportation systems
  • Experience in High Tech/Electronics manufacturing environment is a plus
