Why Become Registered

In today’s competitive world, where the ability to implement the well-proven business improvement approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints are the keys to success, seeking professional registrations would be of paramount importance to staff from all sectors. Not only does it provide an indication that the registered individual has the knowledge and know-how to ensure success and continuous growth of an organization, it helps to foster teamwork between individuals, which ultimately benefits the company as a whole. Registration is thus an investment in your career and in the future of your employer. Our RQPs are encouraged to join our seminar and programmes under the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Scheme. Under this scheme, Life Type RQPs should have 30 hours’ CPD hours in 3 years, while Annual Type RQPs should have 10 hours’ CPD hours within 1 year.

Under the mutual professional recognition scheme with the China Association for Quality (C.A.Q., www.caq.org.cn), the SSI’s qualifications are officially recognized by all enterprises throughout the mainland China.

The benefits of registration in SSI include:

  • Eligible to be listed in the SSI website for public recognition
  • At a discount rate to participate in forums or seminars organized by SSI
  • Increase competitiveness for individuals and higher reputation for organisations
  • Obtain a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt certificate from the China Association for Quality(CAQ) under the mutually qualification recognition scheme between SSI and CAQ. (Please see the application procedure for details). This is a national qualification recognized throughout the country.
